It’s been a ridiculously long time since I or anyone else in my household has played Destiny. Sure it was a good game, but there is only so many times you can run through the same raids and/or strikes or be disappointed by drops or the inventory of a certain someone.

Looking at you Xur

Well anyway, there is something new coming soon!

House of Wolves expansion is set to release May 19th.

The fangirl in me who loves the Queen wants to be like this

but the realist in me is more like

(sorry, I’ve been watching a lot of Archer lately)

As with most things, there is no way of knowing just yet. But I have my hesitations. (as I do with the new Battlefront game, but more on that later)

Changes and other facts

  • Level cap raised to 34
  • Doing away with commendation system
  • Level up existing gear by “Ascension”
  • No raid but instead
  • A cooperative battle arena
  • Of course new weapons, ships, and gear

And in case you missed this it, here is a highlight of the most recent update changes as of 4/14

  • Vault Capacity increased to 24 Armor Slots, 36 Weapon Slots, and 24 General Slots
  • Colorblind support
  • Item Lock now allows players to prevent gear and weapon items from being accidentally dismantled
  • Players can now choose to wear their helmets in social spaces
  • Fixed a bug where ammo consumables did not reliably replenish ammo
  • Fixed a bug that caused a player to lose ammo when switching weapons while dead

Bungie is always about the hype so more news is on the way, being released in small doses.

Here is a list of events they have planed as of now.

April 29th-Reveal and live gameplay of Trials of Osiris (3 on 3 clash event) and its collection of end game gear.

May 6th-Reveal and live gameplay of Prison of Elders, a brand new three-player cooperative multiplayer arena.

May 8th-Stay tuned…whatever that means.

If sure this will at least get me playing for a little bit more. But honestly, I was burnt out a while ago. They will definitely start having to pull off some major feats to get my attention back. Because as of now, I am still enjoying Battlefield Hardline.

But I would be lying if I said I wasn’t interested.

So thats it for now guys and gals, more news as I see it.

Hello again everyone! I’ve taken a bit of a break from writing, but now I’m back and boy, is there plenty to talk about.

Thief – I got Thief on release and it has been interesting to say the least. Though there are ups and downs I’m feeling pretty positive about it.

Downs – Graphics are sometimes very washed out looking; things are very bland and grey for the most part. Dumb AI is an issue. You can usually quickly get away with no problem just by dashing to the side of them. The world does seem a bit closed off and confusing. I definitely would like to see the”free running” aspect look a little bit more free.

Ups – Sneaking feel good, very visceral. Its fun to watch someone as cool as Garret slink around in the shadows. Likeable charterers. While the plot line is a little…odd, I do like and care about the people.

Ok and for the biggest up–At one point in the story missions “the feel” of the game gets a major overall…AND IT’S AWESOME! I’ll give no spoilers, but it stops feeling like an stealth game and more along the lines of a Silent Hill genre. Just play to find out!

More Xbox One Updates – Beta

*not my pic or friends

As some people may know, there is a beta going on for the next Xbox One update. This includes the friends list being separate from the feed and the recent players list. Favorites at the top of course and a find friends option.

Also there will the ability to live stream. “Allow broadcast” will do just that. The ability to use Twitch (coming March 11th) to broadcast your play through. Something that I am considering doing soon.

The Kinect menu also has a few more options. And now under the Network status there is a section that will let you know of any service issues.

Party chat defaulted to on and you can now users can invite a friend either just to a party, just to a game, or to both.

And included was an update for the controller that will let you use the upcoming headset adapters.

  • While I have played it yet, Plants vs. Zombies:Garden Warfare is getting some pretty good reviews.
  • Xbox in the effort to “lower the barriers for indie developers” they made the program ID@Xbox and sent dev kits to many developers. now there are over 200 of them working on games now. I ❤ IndieGames
  • Trials Fusion coming to the One April 16th!!! With quads, a story, dlc, stunts, and pretty pretty graphics.
  • Nintendo killing online support for Wii and DS. 😦 Since many people have not upgraded to a WiiU or 3DS yet (like me) this news is a bit jarring but we have until June to prepare.
  • Netflix is getting Pokemon!!!!! Gotta Catch ‘Em All!!!
  • Elder Scrolls got a M rating and I’m ok with that.
  • 343 has a “great plan” to share and this years E3
  • Minecraft!!!! Hopefully soon there will be an announcement about when we can expect to see it for the One.

Can’t fire a gun but can save mankind????

Since I missed Sundays post for Walking Dead

all I have just this to say is

Well thats all for now, thanks for reading!

There is an update to the update to the delayed update. Along with the revamped friends and party functions, the will also be tweaking the Xbox One controller.

At the request of Titanfall developers, Microsoft has made the controls less “twitchy” and more precise.

This update will take place automatically when your sync your controller to your One, when the update goes live next week.

Xbox Live Gold

It is free Xbox Live Gold weekend for 360 users. This will be running Friday through Sunday.

So even if all you want to do is watch some Netflix on you 360, its worth looking into.

Battlefield 4

While the Xbox One already has the Second Assault pack, the remaining systems will be getting it next week. This pack included Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm from BF3 re-imagined all fancy like for BF4.

On top of the the next DLC will be out towards the end of March. Naval Strike will include new maps called Lost Island, Nansha Strike, Wave Breaker and Operation Mortar. As the name implies this is mainly water-based maps so expect to see new vehicles, weapons and gadgets.

Out With The Old In With The New

Now this news isn’t exactly useful, I’ll explain why later. But Microsoft is running a deal where you can trade in a PS3 or 360 for $100 off of you One purchase.

Now for the not-so-usful part. It’s only at Microsoft stores. Which there’s only one store in all of North Carolina. But if you happen to be near one, it would be a good deal.

Check the store locator Here.

Thats what news for now. Hope everyone has a good and safe day.

Newsday Tuesday 2/11/14

Fyi, I started writing this when it was still Tuesday. I know its not anymore, but didn’t feel like making a new title. So anyway–

First up–Titanfall

The wonderful world of Titanfall is a online-only, running, jumping, parkoring, shooting, mech-piloting, kick ass looking game.

Incorporating some single player elements like npcs and plot, this seems to be a nice new take on multi-player games.

Well long story short, the beta is set to open February 14. You can go Here to register for the beta.

Set to come out March 11, EA is already rumoring that Titanfall has DLC planned and that it may also be eventually coming too Sony and Nintendo.

NEXT–Xbox One news

To any who has a Xbox One, you know that this–

Is the headset that comes with it. While not terrible, it’s nice to have options.

Well never fear-options are now available.

This new headset is $79.99. And here is what Microsoft has to say. “Its full-range audio spectrum provides deep bass and crystal-clear high frequencies, while its unidirectional microphone ensures clear communication.”

If you so happen to already have a headset you like, well there are options for you now too.

Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter

For $24.99, this adapter you can use the headset you already have. (Which is great since I bought one right before switching to the One)

However Tritton Warhead and Tritton Primer headset do not work.

Both of these items will be available for purchase 2/25/14.

Next in the Xbox One updates, they are redoing the friend and party systems.

  • Friends list will now be showing friends online will show up first
  • party chat will now be on automatically when starting a party
  • Recent players list is back
  • Invite friends to game option is back

This update will be coming out in march. This plus the other update (was set for yesterday but is now coming later this week) should make the Xbox One even better, especially when it comes to multi-player.

Alright everyone, thats all for now. Feel free to like, comment, follow, and share.

First off I want to send a very big thank you to all of you reading! I’m hoping to add more content and other things later, as I want this to grow, so please stick with me.

Ok now onto the thrilling things!

Xbox One System Update–This wont be changing too much but the things it is changing, are useful.

  1. The ability to check and mange your storage space. Which is nice compared to the “We’ll let you know when you’re out” system. And you can now track you updates better with a boot progress indicator. Also you can prioritize things on your install lineup.
  2. A battery life indicator. What and miss the fun of it abruptly dieing in the middle of a game? Blasphemy.
  3. You now will be able to plug up and use a usb keyboard.

This update will be rolling out Feb. 11. There will more more details on this later but already things are looking good.

Minecraft for the One and PS4 (+360 and PS3)–Ever known for hiding upcoming additions in pictures, 4J released these pics to show off their “plushies”

It’s like playing I spy without knowing what to look for

I spy with my little eye

Ok, if you unfamiliar with Minecraft, then you might not spot the changes right away so here’s a quick list.

Emeralds-Which means trading with villagers

Iron Anvils-Which means custom weapons

Ender Chest-Means items will be able to be retrieved from any other enderchest in the world

Carpets-A thin layer of wool that is helpful when carpeting upstairs rooms without the ceiling of the next floor down being partially made of wool.

Carrot on a Sticks-Saddled pigs are now steerable.

So in short, this is awesome.

Borderlands Valentines Day DLC–Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre. Releasing Feb. 11th, this dlc will feature your vault hunter gathering ingredients for a love potion to help the wedding between two members of feuding families. This may sound boring but being Borderlands, it never is.

❤ Borderlands…

Ok everyone, thanks for reading. Don’t forget to like, comment, share, or do whatever you feel like. No pressure.
